Founded in 1995, Jamboree attempted
to fill the information gap on education abroad. Back then,
the only information available on education abroad was through
friends and family living or studying abroad. Thus only a
small percentage of the interested students had access to
this information. Now when 'Team
Jamboree' reflects on the past few years it sees
thousands of its students on the thresholds of careers that
would not have been possible without the right guidance.
Team Jamboree
In the spring of 1993, Akrita
Kalra - all of 22 years decided to launch an institute
that would help realize the dreams of students aspiring for
higher education abroad. She perceived a vacuum of information
on the process of application to universities abroad, which
made it difficult for students to prepare and apply. This
motivated
Akrita to set up Jamboree.
Akrita regularly writes for national
dailies on education abroad. The national press as well as
the BBC has interviewed her. Akrita's skills as a teacher
are exceptional and she has been
recognized
as one of the
finest instructors for these exams in North India. She has
passed on this training and competence to a team of highly
dedicated and qualified teachers who form the core of Jamboree.
Apart from heading Jamboree's Training
Cell,
she supervises teaching modules
as well as preparation of study material.
After graduating in mechanical engineering from
IIT Delhi, Vineet Gupta
got through Wharton and Yale for his MBA, but declined. This
first generation successful entrepreneur has been involved
in counseling students on selecting universities and on the
University application process. Over the last seven years,
he has helped students in successfully applying to
Universities
as well as securing scholarships and financial aid. Vineet
supervises the activities of Jamboree's Admission
Cell, which comprises dynamic career counselors, essay writers
and support staff who help you get admission into some of
the best Universities abroad.
Mrs. Ramandeep Kalra who
has an unenviable record as a Visa counselor, pioneers Jamboree's
Visa Cell. She personally counsels and helps students in preparing
documents and helping them prepare a sound application for
a visa.
Mr. J.D Gupta and Mr.
Pranav Gupta are part of the advisory board of
Jamboree. Mr. J.D Gupta, an IAS officer, was also the Vice
Chancellor of the Maharishi Dayanand University. Pranav, an
MBA from The University of Kansas, U.S.A, has helped Jamboree
to forge effective relationships with universities abroad.
Both bring with them a richness of experience and a sense
of professionalism that has helped Jamboree on its path to
success.
However, Team Jamboree is not about a few individuals. Our
success is due to our excellent team of faculty, student counselors,
computer operators, essay writers and support staff,
each of whom is committed to serve and help our valuable customers
- our students.
Today Jamboree centres are present across 4 cities in India and each centre is equipped to train and counsel students on all aspects of education abroad. Some of the highest scores in the country on exams such as GMATTM, GRE®; and SAT have been of Jamboree students. Over the last twelve years we have helped more than 25000 students to achieve their dream of an education abroad.
