What is the full form of sat?
The Scholastic Aptitude Test, technically called the SAT-I, comprises of a general test assessing critical reading, quantitative reasoning and writing skills. It is accepted for U.S. College Admissions. Most U.S. Universities ask for the SAT for admissions to their undergraduate programs. Many universities also require students to take SAT-II Tests. it has a validity of five years. The cost of taking the SAT-I Test is approximately $ 85.

What do we mean by sat i & sat ii?
Sat i is an aptitude test based on which you would get admission to any course and any college. Sat ii is a subject test (physics, chemistry etc), which is required by the top colleges. Check with your college whether they want it.


When is the SAT held?

SAT is held 7 times in a year : October, November, December, January, March, May and June.


Can a student take the sat after 10th class?

This is what we reccomend. Since the scores are valid for 5 years 11th is a good time because the academic pressure is least.


when should the sat ii be taken?

Around oct-nov of your 12th class.


after sat what are prospects for a student?

Based on sat the student can gain admssion to any course except medical or law.


What is the syllabus?

The course consists of maths and english.
Section 1:               30 min maths
Section 2:               30 min verbal
Section 3:               30 min maths
Section 4:               30 min verbal
Section 5:               15 min maths
Section 6:               15 min verbal
Exp section:            30 min maths/verbal
These sections will not come in any fixed order.


What is the scoring system?

The total marks are 1600 - 800 maths and 800 verbal. Anything above 1200 is considered good


What are the rules of the exam?

"h you are allowed to use a calculator.
"h each correct ques carries 1 mark
"h each incorrect ques gets you ¼ negative mark
"h unattempted questions don't get counted in either category


How often can i take the exam?

You can take the exam as often as you want.


Which score will the college consider?

It depends. But normally they take the most recent score

What is the cost of the exam?

The charges are $ 62 payable to sat-program in us dollars.


How much in advance do i have to apply for a date?

you have to apply 40 days in advance.


How soon do i get my score?

Official scores will take 5 weeks to reach you. You can get the score by phone in 10 days time.


How should one register for the exams?

One can apply online (www.collegeboard.com), by fax or mail the form to the college board


How do i pass on my score to the college?

The universities only accept official scores sent directly by ets. Scores to 4 colleges can be sent free of cost while taking the exam. Subsequenly for each score report sent to a college you would have to pay $ 15. A list of college codes is available with the office or on the website.


How much does the under graduate school cost?

The four years can cost you anywhere between 15-20 lacs on an average, if you haven't been awarded a scholarship or a fee waiver.


Does one's educational background matter in taking admission in universities?

Yes, colleges stress on a good academic background. However you can compensate by having a higher gmat score


Are scholarships available?

Yes. Though not very common. Sat score and your past records play a vital part.


How much score should one get to obtain scholarship?

A score of 1200 and above entitles you to a scholorship. It is finally upto the university.


What if i miss the deadline for the sat exam?

One can always take the exam by going on the day of the exam directly to any centre with an extra $30 draft along with the regular fees and passport and photo. You can take the exam as a standby. Ensure you reach atleast 30 mins bfore reporting time.


What is the satii?

SAT II Subjeect tests are one-hour tests offered in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths Level 1, Maths Level 2, English Literature, US History, World History and Languages.

SAT II are offered 6 times a year: October, November, December, January, May and June.
