The tuition fee for master's in UK can vary depending on the university you apply to, but on average, it ranges between INR 15-30 lakhs per annum. Only a handful of top universities in the UK, such as the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and Imperial College London, charge tuition of up to INR 40 lakhs per annum.

The eligibility requirements for a master's in UK are given below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Unlike in the US, a three-year bachelor’s degree is accepted and recognised in the UK

  • Test Scores - GRE scores are not required to study master's in UK
  • English Language Proficiency Requirements - IELTS/TOEFL or any other English Language Proficiency Test score is a requirement, but can be waived off on a case by case basis

Yes, students can apply to several UK universities without IELTS scores, provided some other requirements are met. The universities that Indian students can study at in the UK without IELTS may require them to take an English Language Program along with the regular classes, provide proof of scoring over 75% in high school Academic English, or submit an English Language Proficiency Waiver (which is a letter stating that English was the language of instruction in the student’s previous university). These requirements vary depending on the college or university you apply to.

A student visa issued to full-time degree-level students allows them to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week during their term, including paid or unpaid work, and for one or more organisations.

Based on the time it takes to get the visa, UK student visas can be categorised as follows:

  • Priority - Issued 1-2 weeks after the student has applied for the visa
