SAT Exam Dates 2022: Registration Dates & Deadlines

SAT is a standardized test, taken by students from all across the world, to get admission into bachelor's programs at universities in the US and Canada. It is a paper-pencil-based test that takes 3 hours to complete. It consists of three sections: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. SAT checks your reasoning skills through multiple choice questions and not your academic knowledge. Students generally prefer to take the SAT in Class 11.

SAT is owned and developed by the College Board. In India, the SAT is available on pre-declared testing dates in March, May, August, October, and December. Test registration closes at least a month before the exam to ensure that you register well in time.

When can SAT Exam Dates?

SAT is conducted offline in October, November, December, January, May & June. You can appear for the SAT during each of these months, and there is no restriction on the number of tests taken.

The SAT is held at various schools and ETS testing centers all over the country. SAT score reports are available online within two weeks after you take the test. Universities accept only official score report that is sent directly from the College Board account. Students can choose 4 colleges to send their score report to once they complete their exam-this is included in the test fee.

How to Prepare for the SAT?

All the top universities in the USA and Canada, including Harvard, MIT, Yale, Princeton & more, accept SAT scores. Several Indian universities have also included SAT scores in their admission criteria.

How Can You Register for SAT?

SAT test registration can be done online and offline, yet the majority of registrations are done online. The online SAT registration can take up to 30 mins. Following are the steps for the registration process:

  • Sign in/Signup on the official SAT registration website (For Signup, candidates are required to fill in some details. After entering the details, his username, password & security question is generated)
  • Fill in the application form
  • Book SAT test dates & center

What is the SAT exam fee in India?

The SAT exam fee for Indian students is USD 104 (without essay) and USD 117 (with essay). For South & central Asia, the cost of registration for the SAT is USD 49.
