SAT is a standardized test, taken by students from all across the world, to get admission into bachelor's programs at universities in the US and Canada. It is a paper-pencil-based test that takes 3 hours to complete. It consists of three sections: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. SAT checks your reasoning skills through multiple choice questions and not your academic knowledge. Students generally prefer to take the SAT in Class 11.
SAT is owned and developed by the College Board. In India, the SAT is available on pre-declared testing dates in March, May, August, October, and December. Test registration closes at least a month before the exam to ensure that you register well in time.
SAT is conducted offline in October, November, December, January, May & June. You can appear for the SAT during each of these months, and there is no restriction on the number of tests taken.
The SAT is held at various schools and ETS testing centers all over the country. SAT score reports are available online within two weeks after you take the test. Universities accept only official score report that is sent directly from the College Board account. Students can choose 4 colleges to send their score report to once they complete their exam-this is included in the test fee.
