With a long-cherished dream of studying aerospace engineering, Prachi Tomar, a student of Queen Mary’s School, New Delhi, set about preparing for college studies in the US at a very young age. “I wasn’t really sure as to how I would get there and how I would go through all the process, the paperwork,” says Prachi. “A friend who was already preparing for the SAT recommended Jamboree to me,” she continues.

“From SAT to the visa process, Jamboree laid out the whole process for me like a map, where I just had to check mark it,” she explains. Starting her SAT preparation in May and taking the exam in October, Prachi feels she could’ve taken the SAT preparation more seriously, had she started earlier in her 11th standard. Nevertheless, with a mid-level SAT score of 1280, Prachi made it to her dream program at the prestigious Virginia Tech.

Now in her 2nd year and home for her summer break, we invited her over to the annual pre-departure seminar at India International Center recently. Catch Prachi Tomar’s full interview here.
