Every year, thousands of Indian students fly to the UK to pursue their higher education. In 2021, a record number of students from India have been accepted to the universities in the UK. According to a report, the number of Indian admits in the UK universities is increasing, with a jump of almost 19% in the year 2021. There are several reasons behind this gallop.

The UK is home to many top universities like Oxford University, University of Cambridge, Imperial College, London, University College of London, and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

It is noteworthy that in the UK, 11 Universities find their place in the top 100, another 18 Universities in the top 200, and about ten more are ranked amongst the top 300 across the world.

Generally, MBA in UK is a 1-year program. Tuition Fees for an MBA in UK can vary depending on the university you apply to, but it ranges between 15,000 GBP – 65,000 GBP. Although the average tuition fee for MBA in UK is around 35,000 GBP and only top universities such as Oxford and Cambridge charge you a fee of around 60,000 GBP or more.

An MBA in London can cost you anywhere between 19,000 GBP to 56,000 GBP (around 20 lakhs- 57 lakhs). Many prominent universities in London offer top-ranking MBA programs including London Business School (LSE), Imperial College, HULT, Warwick Business School, etc.

MBBS in UK can cost you anywhere between 35,000 GBP- 52,000 GBP. Some of the leading universities for MBBS in UK include Oxford, Cambridge, University College London, University of Edinburg, King’s College London, etc.

A three-year bachelor’s degree from a recognised Indian university is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in the UK. Test scores of GMAT/GRE are not necessarily a requirement for an MBA in UK, but they are accepted and considered for selection by many universities in UK.

The eligibility for an MBA in UK for Indian students are given below:
1 GPA Minimum of 60% in Bachelor’s degree
2 Test Scores TOEFL/IELTS 6.0-6.5 or above, GMAT/GRE (varies according to program and university)
3 Work Experience Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience (Few options with no-work experience are also available)
4 Essays 1-2 long essays during application
5 CV
6 Letter of Recommendation 1 LOR and 2 in some cases.

The eligibility requirements for an MBA in UK are given below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university equivalent to the bachelor’s degree in the UK.
  • IELTS/TOEFL or any other English Language Proficiency Test score.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience (Few options with no-work experience are also available)
  • GMAT/GRE score if required.
  • A complete application form including SOPs, LORs, transcripts, certificates, CV, student visa, and two passport-sized photographs.
  • Some of the cheapest universities in UK for international students are- the University of Chester, University of Cumbria, University of Bedfordshire, Wrexham Glyndwr University, Teeside University, Leeds Beckett University, University of West London, Southampton Solent University, Queen Margaret University, and the University of Stirling.

    These universities can cost you anywhere between 9,250 – 18,970 GBP for an undergraduate/ postgraduate degree program (such as MBA) or lab and classroom-based research degrees (such as MRes, MPhil, PhD, etc)

    MS in UK eligibility is as follows-

  • Upper Second-Class Honours (60-70%) or Lower Second-Class Honours (50-60%) bachelor’s degree in a field related to which you are applying.
  • GRE or GMAT score depending on the program requirement.
  • Work experience
  • Postgraduate research programs require a research proposal
  • Personal Interview (varies with the program)
