Yes, students can apply to several UK universities without IELTS scores, provided some other requirements are met. The universities at which Indian students can study in the UK without IELTS may require them to take an English Language Program alongside regular classes, provide proof of scoring over 75% in high school Academic English, or submit an English Language Proficiency Waiver (which is a letter stating that English was the language of instruction in the student’s previous university). These requirements vary depending on the college or university you apply to.
However, the UK Visa process might still require you to take the IELTS. Hence, prepping for, and taking the exam is overall a good idea. Learn more about our IELTS coaching programs here.
