The MBA is the most lucrative, and one of the most prestigious, graduate degrees in the world. Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, LBS, INSEAD - these Business Schools, and dozens like them, are the ticket to a career at the top of the business world of the future; whether you want to be a CEO, a COO or a CFO, your journey starts with a top global MBA.

Getting your MBA deadline right is all about seizing the day - if you keep a tight watch on the important dates related to your application to your universities of choice, you will find that this helps you generate the urgency needed to get your application 100% perfect, and ultimately to increase your earning potential by 2-5x, in 20%-50% the time you would normally take.

It makes sense from a strategic point of view. Not only is there a huge salary bump post MBA, a top global MBA also opens up a large number of career options. Most top flight consultants, or investment bankers, or inhabitants of the C-Suite at any big company, have a top global MBA - given the global competitiveness in markets currently, going to Business School now is definitely the best investment for your future.

Your MBA application strategy must be perfect; it is critical that you choose the round in which you apply carefully. The deadlines for your preferred universities will determine your GMAT dates, your reco deadlines, and often directly impact your chances of getting admit letters.

The reason that Round 1 deadlines in a Harvard Business School or Stanford's Graduate School of Business are at the time they are, is to give the candidates who have given their application the most long term strategic thought a window, in the latter half of the calendar year, when they can submit the best application possible.

Why is it worth keeping a close watch on my MBA application deadlines?

It helps get your Letters of Recommendation in on time. You are applying for an MBA from one of the top schools in the world; the people who will write your record letters are likely busy professionals. You need to know your earliest deadline so that you can ensure there are no delays from their end.

It helps you get the GMAT out of the way well in time. The latest advisable time to give the GMAT (or GRE) is 3 months before your application date (unless there is an emergency). Knowledge of your deadlines will help you focus only on your application in the critical final few months.

It lets you plan holidays from work. The last few weeks before the bulk of your applications will be busy, and you will need as much time as possible to give your MBA app the last bit of polish it needs. Since you typically need to book time off from work well in advance, you will need to mix and match all your deadlines to give yourself the dedicated window you need.

It tells you when you need to book time with your application consultants. Of course, you are not alone in your app process; a top flight admissions consultant - like Jamboree - will be with you. Depending on your application deadlines for your universities of choice, you will need to book substantial time to make sure that your applications are just perfect.

Now that we know why MBA deadlines are so critical, there is no time to lose! Take the first step towards a perfectly smooth application process today; explore how Jamboree can help you!
