  • The applicants are selected on the basis of the merit of an individual.

  • In general, the marks you have earned in your previous institution must be satisfactory according to the needs of the institution in which you want to apply
  • If English is not your native language, get the TOEFL, IELTS, or any other equivalent certification.

As permitted by the student visa, international students are allowed to take up part-time work in certain circumstances. As you’re studying for longer than a year, you can find employment through:

  • a study-related internship
  • a part-time on-campus job of up to 20 hours a week
  • a summer job (from 1 June until 31 August), with no restrictions in terms of hours and location

In order to find work after study in Hong Kong, international students need to make a note of the following.

  • Students can stay in Hong Kong for a duration of 12 months post-study and search for jobs.
  • Extension of stay to look for work in Hong Kong must be made 4 months before the limit expires.
  • To extend the stay, the employment offer letter needs to be submitted within 2 months.
  • Upon getting a job in Hong Kong, international students are allowed to stay for 2-3 years without any additional conditions.
