Success stories
Heena Talwar
Franchisee Owner
After 12 years of working in various companies and industries, I wanted to start my own business. Since I do not come from a business family with strong financial reserves, I decided to take a franchise of a well-known brand to minimize the financial risks. I opened Jamboree’s franchise in Jan 2011. It’s been a wonderful association till now. I received ample assistance from the head office – right from setup guidelines to faculty hiring and training to making targets and business plans. I was able to start earning the day-to-day operating expenses from the 5th month itself. Over the years, at our center, we have successfully placed numerous students in their dream universities. I am glad I decided to take Jamboree’s franchise. Very few people are able to have job satisfaction along with the desired financial gains. Thanks to Jamboree, I am one of them.

I hail from a business family, our family business being infrastructure development. After my MBA, I was expected to join it. But, I was interested in doing something where I can be independent and actively use my management education. So, my friend and I took a franchise of Eurokids, a chain of playschools. After successfully running a few Eurokids franchises, we wanted to take franchise of some other education company. After careful consideration, we zeroed in on the study abroad industry and from there, Jamboree was a natural choice. Our association with Jamboree is almost 5 years old now. The support they provide have exceeded our expectations. I was immensely impressed when they arranged a faculty for our centre in no time even in the unfavorable circumstances after the Nepal earthquake in 2015. The frequent visits by Jamboree officials during the initial phase instilled confidence in us. Over these years, Jamboree’s focus on standardization and the constant emphasis on quality have ensured that our center’s students have got admissions in some of the top universities in the world. Jamboree is now the biggest study abroad company at our location, and I am its proud owner.

What started as a casual discussion in the office between two people on one fine evening ended up becoming a full fledged business opportunity. After working with Jamboree for almost two years, we decided to take up a franchise centre. We were skeptical at first because it was out first business venture. But all our doubts were cleared when we got an enrollment on the opening day! Since then, it has been a smooth ride as an owner essentially because of the immense support and guidance from the entire Jamboree team. This venture has given us an excellent insight into what goes behind building a brand and maintaining its integrity. All in all, I feel it was a good decision to start a venture with such a reputed organisation and I would highly recommend considering the ROI on it.
