College Board’s India Scholars Program and SAT Acceptance in India

The College Board conducts and manages the SAT exam all over the world. It founded the India Global Higher Education Alliance in 2018 with an aim to provide a platform for achieving three primary goals:

  • Build a community of innovative secondary and higher education leaders who will work to improve the transition for students to higher education in India
  • Establish a forum for sharing of global best practices to learn from what is working in admissions around the world
  • Take concrete actions to help ensure that all students, regardless of income, geography or social class, can access excellent higher education.

India Global Higher Education Alliance currently has 35 reputed institutes in and outside of India that are working to make it easier for all qualified Indian students to have access to a world-class education. These universities join thousands of institutions of higher education around the world who trust the SAT because research shows it to be a standardized reliable predictor of university success. For students, applying to college becomes simpler as one test makes them eligible to apply to multiple Indian universities.

The alliance also aims to provide low-income, high-achieving students with access to world-class education through:

- SAT Test Fee Reduction Voucher

- College Board India Scholars Program (100% Free Tuition)

- College Board India Scholars Program (One-time Scholarship)
