College Board’s India Scholars Program and SAT Acceptance in India

Students from lower-income families in India can save money on their university education through the College Board India Scholars Program in the following two ways-

  • Up to 90% off SAT exam registration fees

  • Scholarships at participating Indian universities, some of whom cover full tuition fee through graduation

Who Can Get an SAT Discount

Income-eligible students who are residents of India and are in Class XI or XII can apply for the following discount vouchers that will save them money on their SAT registration fees:

  • 90% SAT registration discount: Annual family income less than ?8 lakh

  • 50% SAT registration discount: Annual family income between ?8 lakh and ?15 lakh

Students apply for the discount voucher when they are registering for the SAT exam. And here’s some good news, the SAT discount is given to every eligible student who applies for the voucher.

Who Can Apply for a Scholarship

Income-eligible students who reside in India and achieve a total SAT score of 1300 or more may qualify for a merit-cum-need scholarship at participating universities, the amount of which is based on the student’s annual family income.

Full tuition scholarship through graduation: Family income less than ?8 lakh

Students with an SAT score of 1300 or more earn the honor of being an SAT India Top Performer while the scholarship winners are honored with being a College Board India Scholar.

Students can apply for these scholarships when they apply for admission and universities will select the recipients from the applications of income-eligible students who meet all the other eligibility requirements.
