Typically, the SAT is taken to seek admission to undergraduate programs of colleges and universities in the US. Given the rising popularity of the exam and its accuracy in assessing college preparedness, some colleges in India too, have started accepting SAT scores. In mid-2018, the College Board formed the India Global Higher Education Alliance to provide a platform for streamlining admissions of both Indian and international students through the SAT. We expect an increase in the number of Indian colleges accepting SAT scores in the future.
