Students with low or no work experience often find it difficult to get into good b-schools abroad as most of them require work experience of 4 to 5 years, if not more. Ludwig Maximilian University

LMU is a public research university located in Munich, Germany. It is the sixth oldest German university. The Faculty of Business Administration offers Master in Business Administration degree through a two year full-time course comprising 4 semesters. Students can choose 2 out of 5 competency fields of Accounting, Finance and Insurance, Marketing and Strategy, Innovation, Leadership and Human Resources. Students also have to undertake a peer group project and compose a Master’s thesis at the end of the MBA course.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

– Three or four year bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or related discipline

– Valid GMAT score above 600 or a pass in the university’s own written test

– IELTS score of minimum 7.5 or TOEFL score of minimum 100

– Knowledge of German language

University of Stuttgart

The MBA program at University of Stuttgart is technically oriented. Students are required to have basic knowledge in business administration and economics. The course spans two years over four semesters and requires MBA thesis to be submitted at the end of the program.

– Knowledge of German language

– IELTS score of minimum 7 or TOEFL score of minimum 100

Dresden University of Technology

The Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Dresden is offered in two formats: full-time (2 years) and part-time (4 years). The program offers six specializations in Management and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Operations and Logistics Management, Environmental Management and Energy Economics and Management, Learning and Human Resources Management and Car Business Management. Additionally, students are required to choose electives in Economics, Business Informatics and other allied fields. Students also have to take up methodology, research seminar and write a Master’s thesis.

– Three or four year bachelor’s degree in economics, business management, mathematics, statistics or other related fields from a recognised university

– Knowledge of German language

University of Bremen

The master’s degree in business management at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences is offered through the Faculty of Economics. It spans over a period of 18 months over three semesters. Courses include corporate governance, scientific research methods, globalization and capital markets, strategic management, financial management, corporate finance, restructuring and insolvency and right of rehabilitation and more. Students are also required to submit a master’s thesis at the end of the course.

The University of Dresden also offers other specialist MBAs like MBA in Tourism Management, European/Asian Management, Global Management MBA, International MBA – double degree and MBA part-time.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

– University degree with a focus on business administration

– Knowledge of German language

– Proof of English proficiency

– Work experience of 20 weeks in internship or project work

The University of Ulm offers a Masters in Management and Economics degree. It is not strictly speaking an MBA degree but the coursework is the same. Knowledge of German is necessary to pursue MS in Management and Economics at Ulm.

– Three to four years’ bachelor’s degree in Economics, business or related discipline

– Minimum 60% marks at bachelor’s level

– Proof of German language proficiency

– Proof of English proficiency
