The GRE General Test is a computer-delivered exam that is taken by students or working professionals who are interested in pursuing Master’s, MBA or PhD programs at universities around the world.
In locations where the computer-delivered test is not available, students can choose to take the paper-based test three times a year in October, November and February.
You can register for the GRE by phone or online. But before you register, you need to create an account at the ETS website.
The account creation will require you to furnish your personal details such as:
Name
Date of birth
Gender
Email id
Permanent address
Contact number
Make sure that you save your username and password carefully as you would be using it until you take admission into a program.
On successful creation of an account, you will receive a confirmation mail from ETS on your registered email id.
Most students register online for the GRE. To begin the registration process, click the ‘Register Online Now’ button and log in with your username and password.
This will take you to the ‘My GRE Home’ page. Click on the blue button in the top left that says ‘Register/Find Test Centers, Dates’.
You will be led to a new page with a drop-down menu from which you can select the test that you want to take. Once you choose the GRE General Test, select the centre where you wish to appear for the exam.
Then choose your test date from the given calendar; dates that are highlighted green are open to book. A date usually has 3-time slots. Choose the one that suits you most by clicking ‘Register’.
Next, you can review the personal information that you entered. You can go back and edit your information by clicking ‘Edit Test Information’ button on the top of the page.
You can choose to take the GRE Search Service that allows prospective schools to discover your profile. You can now proceed to pay the test fees of $205 on the ETS Checkout page. Payment can be made via credit or debit card.
Once your payment is made, you will receive confirmation on the ETS page and also on your registered email id. Voila! Your registration is complete.
My experience at Jamboree has been really remarkable. I started studying at Vashi center but other centers have also been useful during the pandemic situation. Right from preparation materials and coaching for GRE and TOEFL to university shortlisting, application process, SOP writing, CV editing, LOR editing, KIRA interview process, and admission interview process, Jamboree has been my constant support. The quality service at each step despite the current pandemic situation is indeed worthy of appreciation. I would strongly recommend Jamboree to all the future MS aspirants.

The student to faculty ratio is good so you get a lot of personal attention from the faculty. All the teaching faculty and the staff are extremely helpful. I had joined jamboree for my GRE coaching and was able to achieve a good result with their help.

Experience with Jamboree was excellent. The faculty here are very experienced. They have the ability to explain complex concepts in a way that are easier to understand. My son attended the TOEFL and SAT classes at the Dadar centre. I got very positive feedbake from him. They try to teach every aspect of exam from strategies to easy tricks. And the most important thing is that they try to understand the problems you are facing, and guide you accordingly. Even the Admission Counceling is great. They guide you in every way possible to develop your profile.

In short, I want to start by saying that I have had an amazing experience with Jamboree.
Back in 2018, I had joined Jamboree for GMAT preparation and I had been provided with all the relevant and resourceful material as soon as I started off. With the help of some amazing teachers I was able to score a 700 in my first attempt in under 3 months.
In March 2020, I had joined the IELTS classes offered by Jamboree and once again with the help of an amazing faculty, I secured 8.0 in my first attempt in June 2020.
Soon after that, in July 2020, I took the admissions services of Jamboree (5 universities package) and my counsellors were Mr. Saurabh and Ms. Nithya (writing counsellor).
And I have to say, right from the beginning both of them have supported and helped me on each step of my admissions journey. I had applied to the MBA programs in the following Universities/Business Schools - Oxford, Cambridge, IE Business School, ESADE, NUS and ISB. Except Oxford and Cambridge, I got interview invitations from all the remaining 4 colleges and got admitted in IE, ESADE and ISB by the end of November 2020.
Mr. Saurabh has always helped me out at each step and is always available on calls or email at any time of the week to resolve any admissions related issues I have had. And Ms. Nithya, well she has a vast knowledge of how to present an essay and how to really put out your story in front of the admissions committee. Her unrelenting support was so valuable especially in the times when I was doing my 4-5 applications back to back.
Overall, Jamboree has always been helpful and I highly recommend everyone to join as they really help you in achieving your educational goals.
