Why did Divya quit her plush IT job to pursue an MS at Carnegie Mellon?

Ours is the Age of Information. Divya Virmani realised this early on. Avidly interested in IT and computing, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Fresh out of college, she worked as a web developer and gained recognition because of her innovativeness, sense of responsibility and sincerity.

Somewhere along the way, she made a foray into marketing. Faced with the challenge to manage massive amounts of data, she developed an abiding interest in information management. Wanting to leverage practical experience with a rock solid foundation of academic knowledge, she took the decision to quit her job and prepare for the GRE to study abroad. Those were difficult times for her as she had been out of touch with studies for a long time. But it all turned out well as she made it to MS Management Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon.

Today, she works in information management and analysis while designing sustainable technology solutions in the automobile sector. Keep those engines revving, Divya!
