Adventure enthusiast and an ardent Harry Potter fan, Swati Srivastava, is a multi-talented individual with interests in photography, travelling, origami and yoga. This spirited young lady with 5+ years of work experience as a senior software engineer and team lead in Infosys, decided to pursue an MBA to fulfill her goals of being a credit analyst in a multi-national commercial bank and eventually establishing a micro-lending firm back home.
“Coming from a family of bankers, I was exposed to banking jargon from an early age…I realized that controlled usage of micro-lending firms can extend great benefit to those who are financially disadvantaged,” she says. Swati joined Jamboree and began her GMAT preparation earnestly.
She eventually scored a 710 on the GMAT and took counselling support from Jamboree. She was accepted by all the five universities that she applied to—McCombs-UT Austin, Kelley-IU, Marshall-USC, Jones-Rice and McDonough-Georgetown. Swati chose Red McCombs School of Business, UT Austin and is currently pursuing her MBA there.
