However, if you prefer taking the GMAT at a test centre, it’s crucial to be aware of the available dates at your chosen centre and in this blog we will tell you just that!

In this blog:

How to choose your GMAT test date

To find an appropriate GMAT exam date in 2023, the recommended approach is to first, check the application deadlines for the business schools you plan to apply to and give yourself enough time to receive and review your GMAT scores before the deadline. Determine how much time you need to prepare for the exam, keeping in mind your work and personal schedules, and choose a test date that allows you to commit the necessary time to study. Consider the time of day when you feel most alert and productive and select a test time that corresponds with your peak performance. Check the availability of test centers in your area and make sure they offer a time that works for you.

Finally, understand the GMAT’s retake policy, which requires at least 16 days between attempts, and factor in retake time in your preparation timeline. Overall, it’s important to give yourself enough time to prepare and choose a test date that aligns with your schedule and peak performance time.

GMAT provides adaptable test dates to facilitate your preparation. To gain insights on how to select your ideal GMAT exam date in 2023, refer to this article. Additionally, we have included the test dates for GMAT exam centres in India for your convenience.

How to register for GMAT

  • Register for the GMAT 6 months to 24 hours before your preferred test date. It’s recommended to book your test date as early as possible to get your preferred test date and time.
  • If your desired test date and time slot is not available, keep checking the registration page on mba.com. Test-takers may reschedule or cancel their exams, freeing up slots for other test-takers.
  • Make sure the name you use during registration matches your name on your proof of identity.
  • Double-check that the GMAT test date and test centre you selected during registration are correct.
  • Payment for the GMAT can be made by credit card or debit card, check, or money order. Only credit cards are accepted in India for registration purposes.
  • Ensure your passport is valid and won’t expire soon. You won’t be allowed to enter the exam centre if your passport is invalid.
  • Test centres offer several time slots for taking the exam, typically in the morning and afternoon. Choose a time slot that works best for you and matches your energy levels. It’s also recommended to take 4 to 5 mock tests in the same time slot as your actual exam to condition your mind.
